Owning the Tempo of Modern Warfare
In today’s dynamic combat environments, speed isn’t just a tactical advantage, it’s strategic dominance. The ability to rapidly identify threats, respond with precision, and adapt in real time can determine the outcome of an entire mission. Whether navigating dense urban corridors or conducting wide-area surveillance along contested borders, the force that deploys faster, more flexibly, and at greater volume ultimately owns the tempo of modern warfare.
For years, innovation in American defense technology lagged behind real-world threats. Legacy acquisition systems bogged down advancements in bureaucracy and complexity. As a result, warfighters were too often handed outdated tools for cutting-edge problems, costing operators invaluable seconds in the field.
Finally, the rules have changed. REAVERS are developed by operators, for operators.
Project G.I. Accelerating the Future of Tactical Uncrewed Systems
Project G.I. launched in June 2025 by the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) and represents a turning point in how the U.S. military identifies, acquires, and deploys next-generation drone systems. Created to break the mold of traditional procurement, Project G.I. sets a new precedent: if you’re fast, modular, and American-built, you’re in the game.
The initiative prioritizes UAS platforms that are ready now, scalable across operations, and modular enough to flex with evolving mission sets. It trims years-long acquisition cycles into mere months. The challenge includes a $20 million prize pool and an invitation for winning systems to be immediately evaluated, scaled, and fielded.
At its core, Project G.I. is about urgency by responding to asymmetric threats, bolstering border security, deterring peer adversaries all with unmatched speed. And at ViDARR, we’ve always believed urgency is a capability in itself hence our slogan: On time, On Target. Which embodies the precision and speed in which we provide our products and services.
REAVERS FPV: Down Selected for Phase 2 and Ready to Deliver
We are proud to announce that REAVERS FPV has been selected for Phase 2 of Project G.I.
This milestone reaffirms what we’ve known all along: REAVERS is not just a platform, it’s a strategic shift in how tactical drones are conceived, built, and deployed. Fast, configurable, domestically sourced, and operationally ready from day one, REAVERS embodies the very model that Project G.I. was designed to accelerate.
Precision in the Sub-55 lb Class
When it comes to the realm of UAV’s, weight matters more than most people anticipate. In drone warfare, it can actually be the deciding factor while purchasing. The sub-55 lb category strikes the perfect balance, small enough for rapid deployment yet large enough to carry serious payloads. REAVERS FPV is precisely engineered for that sweet spot.
A single operator can haul a REAVERS FPV across rocky terrain, launch it within minutes, and deliver reconnaissance or payloads before the adversary even detects its presence. The system is tactically optimized to deploy without launch infrastructure, rapidly swap payloads in the field, and stay resilient across diverse terrains. In Project G.I., mobility equalssurvivability and our REAVERS FPV Drone platforms deliver exactly that.
Built in America. Mission-Secure.
When mission integrity is on the line, supply chain trust is non-negotiable. Every REAVERS FPV is sourced entirely from U.S. components and assembled on American soil. NDAA compliance isn’t just a requirement, it’s the baseline.
By removing foreign electronics from the equation and working only with vetted suppliers, ViDARR eliminates hidden risks before they can appear. No compromised chips. No backdoor vulnerabilities. Only battlefield certainty. This is what Project G.I. demands and it’s what we’ve always delivered.
Scaling Production: Virginia Beach and Beyond
To meet the urgent demand signaled by Project G.I. and other U.S. military programs, ViDARR is scaling production at our Virginia Beach facility to 2,000 drones per month by Q1 2026. However, we aren’t stopping there, our roadmap targets 10,000 drones per month through expanded facilities, automation, and workforce growth.
Key expansion initiatives include:
-Increasing throughput at the Virginia Beach plant with next-generation manufacturing equipment and automation.
-Establishing additional U.S. production facilities to ensure resilience and surge capacity.
-Partnering with American suppliers for secure sourcing of electronics, sensors, and flight systems.
-Recruiting and training a workforce that blends engineering talent with the expertise of America’s veteran community.
“Scaling to 10,000 drones per month is not just a production goal, it’s about ensuring our warfighters have the tools they need, when they need them,” said Cliff Byrd, CEO of ViDARR. “We’re building drones designed to be fast, flexible, and affordable, with the ability to out-innovate adversaries in contested environments.”
This expansion ensures that ViDARR is not only advancing technology but also building the industrial backbone required for America’s next era of drone warfare.
Configurable at Scale
REAVERS FPV is not a one-trick platform. Whether the mission calls for ISR, precision strike, or electronic warfare, the system adapts without hesitation. Standardized components allow a single production line to manufacture thousands of units quickly while still customizing each one before it leaves the facility.
This agility reduces bottlenecks, slashes delivery timelines, and ensures ViDARR can field drones at the pace required by modern conflict.
Always Evolving
The REAVERS FPV ecosystem is designed as a living platform. Upcoming updates include integrations with next-gen sensors, extended endurance packs, and AI-driven targeting. Operator feedback feeds directly into design, ensuring each production run is more capable than the last.
In a world where the battlefield evolves daily, REAVERS evolves with it.
This Is the New Standard
Project G.I. didn’t just raise the bar, it redefined it. Platforms must be modular, scalable, sovereign, and deployable now. REAVERS doesn’t aspire to that model, it was originally designed to thrive in it. With our down-selection for Phase 2 and our scaling roadmap in motion, ViDARR is shaping the future of drone warfare, pairing innovation with industrial capacity to deliver speed, scale, and sovereignty to America’s warfighters.
