Gun DAMP VS CLP...

I learned more about weapon lubricants in my time at Marine Corps Systems Command while doing weapons tests and being part of a RCA (Root Cause Analysis). What I tell everyone from testing and understanding what is in our issued lubricants and what you can buy at the PX is - that stuff will never touch one of my personal firearms. What I would recommend is this stuff Vidarr has. Once you understand the science behind what they offer, you’ll never go back to CLP. If you shoot a lot, care about your investments, and want to prolong the life of your guns you’ll look into this. Do what I did; I lubed up one gun with CLP and one with Gun Damp for a year. I could tell the difference after the first day, but the one with Gun Damp I went 6 months without reapplying. Same make/model and same round counts. Then switched and had the same effects.

Gun damp works MAGIC!

I applied Gun Damp weeks ago and go to the range every week for the most part. Surprisingly enough, my Glock 49 still works like a charm, no cleaning or re-application has been needed since.

Frequently asked questions

What is Gun Damp™ and what makes it different from other gun lubricants?

Gun Damp™ is an advanced, fully synthetic, non-toxic CLP (cleaner, lubricant, protectant) engineered for military-grade performance. It cleans, lubricates, protects metal against corrosion and friction wear, and stays effective in extreme hot and cold conditions.

How do I apply Gun Damp™?
  1. Unload & safe — remove magazine, open and check the chamber.
  2. Work area — well-ventilated, clean surface; gloves optional.
  3. Clean — remove fouling/debris with brush and patches.
  4. Dry & inspect — wipe parts and check for damage.
  5. Shake & apply — shake bottle; apply a small amount to contact/moving points.
  6. Cycle & wipe — work the action to spread product; remove excess.
  7. Reassemble & check — reassemble and perform a function/safety check.
  8. Fire— go out to the range and get some rounds down range
Is Gun Damp™ safe for all firearm finishes and materials?

Yes. Its non-toxic, fully synthetic formula is safe on firearm metals and coatings without causing damage. If uncertain, test on a small area first.

What temperature range does Gun Damp™ perform in?

Our products are manufactured both locally and globally. We carefully select our manufacturing partners to ensure our products are high quality and a fair value.

How often should I clean and reapply Gun Damp™?

After heavy firing, exposure to moisture, or rugged field use, clean and reapply immediately. For consistent protection, include it in your regular post-use maintenance routine.

Does Gun Damp™ reduce carbon build-up?

Yes. It helps break down carbon fouling and contaminants, keeping firearms cycling smoothly and extending service life.

Can Gun Damp™ be used beyond firearms?

Absolutely. It also protects tools, knives, and other metal equipment exposed to wear, rust, or harsh conditions.

Is Gun Damp™ non-toxic? What precautions should I take?

Gun Damp™ is non-toxic, but like all chemical products, avoid ingestion, prolonged skin contact, and eye exposure. Use in a ventilated area and store securely away from children.
