The ViDARR CMOS Camera System delivers low latency video and reliable situational awareness for FPV aircraft and unmanned systems operating in dynamic environments. Designed for high speed flight and responsive control, the camera provides clear imaging and fast video output that allows operators to maintain full visual awareness of the aircraft and surrounding terrain.
Unlike traditional FPV cameras, this system includes an integrated onboard processing board, enabling expanded capabilities beyond basic video transmission. This architecture allows the camera to support future software upgrades and advanced functionality as mission requirements evolve.
The onboard processing capability also enables integrated on screen display (OSD) overlays, allowing flight data to be embedded directly into the video feed. The system communicates with the aircraft flight controller using MSP (Betaflight) or MAVLink (PX4) protocols, enabling telemetry data such as horizon reference, heading, and system status to be displayed directly to the operator.
For advanced applications, the camera can be upgraded with the Pixel Lock software package, enabling onboard image tracking functionality that assists with maintaining focus on a selected object within the frame.
The camera connects through a simple USB-C interface that provides both power and communication, allowing quick integration with modern flight controller architectures and modular avionics systems.
