Frequently asked questions
Can you ship night vision internationally?
We cannot export complete night-vision systems with tubes without the proper licenses. Housings and accessories may be available internationally depending on regulations.
What warranty is included?
ViDARR Night vision housings are backed by a limited warranty against defects. Image intensifier tubes and optics carry their original manufacturer’s warranty. (Tubes typically stay under warranty for 2-3 years)
Do you provide tube spec sheets?
Yes. All new builds ship with tube data sheets. Customers can also request available tube options before assembly.
What is an image intensifier tube?
It’s the core component that amplifies ambient light into a visible image. Tube choice directly affects clarity, sensitivity, and performance.
What does FOM mean?
FOM (Figure of Merit) combines resolution and signal-to-noise ratio into one metric. It’s useful, but we recommend looking at individual specs for a complete picture.
Can I change my order after placing it?
Contact us right away. If the build hasn’t started, we’ll do our best to make adjustments.
Are labor and conversion fees included?
Yes. Professional assembly and conversion labor are part of the listed price for full systems. However, if you're interested in a conversion or custom build on a unit you already own, Contact info@vidarrinc.com for further information.
How long do conversions or custom builds take?
Most conversions are completed in about two weeks, depending on inventory and the complexity of the job.
Do you offer military, law enforcement, or EMS discounts?
Yes. Verified active duty, veterans, law enforcement, and EMS qualify. Reach out Info@vidarrinc.com to confirm eligibility and to receive a discounted price.
How should I maintain night vision gear?
Keep optics clean, store in a dry case, and avoid exposing tubes to bright light. Regular checks after heavy use help extend service life.
Where are ViDARR housings made?
X
What’s the process for returns or repairs?
Contact Info@vidarrinc.com for further assistance and information.
Can ViDARR convert my existing unit?
Yes, select conversions are available. Send us the serial and model information so we can confirm compatibility and lead time.
